About The Position

The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining commercial HVAC equipment. This role requires familiarity with the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, and relies on experience and judgment to achieve goals. A significant degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The individual must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily.

Requirements

• Must be familiar with some of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Must have good verbal, written, listening, and communication skills.
• Must be willing and committed to take training and successfully complete training.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and service calls for HVAC systems including package units, split systems, etc., in accordance with manufacturers recommended practices.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Work with customers and co-workers.
• Check periodically on motors, compressors, and controls; initiate action for the major overhaul of equipment.
• Study developments in refrigerants, equipment, and practices and utilize findings in the installation and maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure and comply with safety regulations, work performance standards, rules and working conditions.
• Prepare work reports and requisitions for supplies, parts, and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
