About The Position

Rite Rug Flooring is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated Outside Sales Representative to focus on commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and managing a pipeline in a fast-paced construction environment. You’ll be working directly with developers, general contractors, and project managers, helping them select and deliver the correct products for their commercial products.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of outside sales experience in flooring but other construction or building material sales would work
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Self-starter who can manage their own schedule and territory
  • Comfortable working in the field and visiting job sites
  • Ability to understand project timelines and construction processes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in flooring or commercial is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow relationships with multifamily developers and general contractors
  • Prospect and generate new business within your assigned territory
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through closing
  • Review project plans, bid opportunities, and submit proposals
  • Follow up consistently to win and secure contracts
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Track pipeline activity and maintain accurate records
