A place where you can take your career in the direction you want to grow and go The Opportunity: The Sales Manager function is to successfully develop strategies to increase profitability of the entire region through the responsibilities of sales growth, retention of customers, customer satisfaction, operational controls, and health and safety performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five to seven years of management experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, and evaluation.
  • Willingness to frequently travel by conventional means, including aircraft, motor vehicle, and the like within the region and to other locations as required. Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Experience in designing and managing expected operating budgets
  • Proven skills in business and financial management.
  • Record of success driving an efficient and profitable department.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to recognize opportunities to improve business results and/or profitability.
  • Proven ability to understand the needs of business accounts and converting those needs into sales.
  • Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Role models and reinforces the organizational culture of Parkland USA through coaching, mentoring, rewarding, and accountability.
  • Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of Safety, Health, and Environment principles and values; champions safety as necessary.
  • Provides leadership and vision to the organization by assisting with the development of long range and annual plans along with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans.
  • Designs, implements, and enforces policies and procedures. Analyzes and monitors internal processes and uses that information to increase profitability.
  • Hires, trains, and manages a team of direct reports of Sales Representatives. Manages and evaluates staff performance.
  • Maintains viable relationships with all employees to ensure customers' needs are always met.
  • Assigns or delegates responsibilities to employees within department. Sets priorities and ensures deadlines are met.
  • Ensures that confidentiality of data collected and stored is maintained.
  • Approaches responsibilities with a business-owner growth mindset.
  • Develops and drives tactical marketing plans for increasing sales, base protection, competitive threats, growth, market development, and profitability.
  • Promotes the organization to the industry, trade associations, and community groups, based on knowledge of organizational objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
  • Provides vision and leadership in long-range fiscal planning to ensure the continuity and solvency of Parkland.
  • Allocates available resources to enable successful task performance.
  • Maintains and upholds customer relationships to maximize profitability. Resolves customer's complaints and inquiries.
  • Meets with existing customers to evaluate satisfaction and determine future needs.
  • Works with internal stakeholders for alignment on goals, to ensure effective communication, share resources, exchange ideas, and improve business outcomes.
