About The Position

A commercial roofing service sales representative is responsible for maintaining existing customers while identifying and securing new business for roof maintenance, repair, and restoration. This role targets property managers, facility managers, mechanical contractors, plan and spec work, and business owners to establish long-term service agreements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the commercial roofing or construction industry.
  • Strong written/oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer skills in all Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to estimate projects of various sizes and scope.
  • Must be able to set and climb a ladder.
  • Present a positive attitude of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
  • Able to deal with unexpected challenges in a professional and calm manner.
  • Provide a valid and current Driver License.

Responsibilities

  • Self-Starter with the ability to build and maintain high-trust relationships with key decision-makers to ensure repeat business and contract renewals.
  • Develop new and existing relationships while identifying new sales opportunities through various channels, including leads from marketing campaigns, referrals, and cold calling.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our roofing products and services to effectively educate clients on various commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, BUR, Mod-Bit, coatings, etc.) and the long-term ROI of maintenance programs.
  • Proficient in CRM software (FCS preferred) managing the sales pipeline and reporting progress to management.
  • Perform job walks and work with inspectors as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Read construction plans and understand project specifications.
  • Responsible for developing detailed technical proposals and estimates from roof inspections or plans and spec work.
  • Conduct sales presentations from roof inspections and negotiating proposals to meet customer satisfaction while meeting sales targets.
  • Work closely with the installation and customer service teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
