The Commercial Roofing Service Manager oversees day-to-day operations for service calls, repairs, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems within a designated territory. This leadership role partners with senior leadership to achieve territory goals and manage business performance, including P&L, revenue, margins, and SG&A expenses.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years in commercial roofing systems (Mod Bit, BUR, TPO, PVC, EPDM, metal, coatings).
  • Experience supervising crews or service technicians and managing safety programs.
  • Strong estimating skills for repairs and replacements; ability to read blueprints/specs.
  • Project management experience for service and reroof projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; tech-savvy with tablets and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead service representatives and field crews performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Manage service contracts, scheduling, and training for field and sales teams.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication and issue resolution.
  • Oversee deployment of field personnel and maintain service quality standards.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze reports, and implement action plans for performance improvement.
  • Develop policies, workflows, and best practices for service delivery.
  • Manage department finances, budgets, and invoicing.
  • Drive customer relationships and prospect additional services such as preventive maintenance programs.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate team members; support employee development.
