About The Position

Waste Control, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a Class A Roll Off/Drop Box Driver to join the team in Longview, Washington. Previous waste experience would be a huge plus! The Schedule will be 4 Days on, 3 Days Off, 3 Days On, and 4 Days off Sunday-Wednesday Starting at 6:00am-5:00Pm (With Overtime Often) Rate of pay is $29.36/HR. What We Offer: Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits. 401K Plan, $1 for $1 match up to 5% Paid Time Off $250 Yearly Boot Allowance $$ Yearly Safety Bonus $$ Duties and Responsibilities: In this position you will be operating a Roll off truck on a specified route to Deliver and Pickup up Drop Boxes from the local Mills. Must be able to drive manual transmission. Ability to read route tablet and service each customer identified on the Route Tablet or assigned by the dispatcher. Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires. Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers. Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities. Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Working Conditions and Physical Effort: Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. Operating Truck to Deliver Roll Off Box and Pick up Roll Off Boxes. The work environment involves some exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, which require following basic safety precautions. The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate. Minimum Job Requirements: Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement. Must have no restrictions and be able to drive interstate, and Manual Transmission. Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English. Basic knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre-and post-trip inspections. Requirements
