Come join us and help us build for the future!   Our team is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the Northeast Region (includes: PA, NY, MD, DE, NJ, MA, CT, RI, NH, VT, ME). This will be a full-time, primarily remote role with travel (estimated at 50%) to our Northeast region customer locations and/or Michigan-based headquarters as necessary. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) ensures Duravent Group’s success through growing market share and meeting/exceeding sales revenue goals for their region. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will engage in the sales process for their region both independently and through collaborative partnership with a number of manufacturers’ representative firms.

Requirements

  • 5 years of progressive growth within the sales function
  • Previous sales experience with a manufacturer or rep. firm of Commercial HVAC building products (especially venting, GRDs, or other HVAC adjacent products)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field. 2 additional years of experience will also be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Able to work independently, including traveling (driving + flying) as necessary
  • Local to customers within this region/located within the Northeastern US
  • Previous work experience successfully meeting sales targets/goals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Authorized for work within the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Core Sales: Maintain selling skills, develop + maintain valued customer relationships, and troubleshoot + resolve customer problems
  • Goals/Targets: Meet or exceed budgeted sales goals, expand current customer base, and grow revenue + market share. Perform recurring sales forecasting activities, to help increase forecasting accuracy.
  • Regional Strategy: Ensure regional sales strategy aligns with channel (and company-wide) sales strategy. Make recommendations including system and process improvements, prepare and complete action plans.
  • Manufacturer Rep Management: Oversee manufacturer representative firms’ activity. Meet weekly to discuss sales activity, track sales projections, and hand off leads. Act as a resource, especially in contract negotiations and closing sales.
  • Business Development: Prospect potential clients and secure new accounts
  • Competitive Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on trends, products, and competitor activity.
  • Miscellaneous: Performs other duties as assigned (examples may include: cross-functional project participation, trade show or sales exhibit participation, education or training activities.)
