About The Position

Founded nearly a century ago, we are a mid-sized law firm representing businesses and individuals in Kansas City and nationwide across a broad range of legal matters. Our practice spans civil litigation, corporate law, business transactions, fidelity and surety, construction, real estate, and family law. Our litigation team focuses on construction, banking and financial services, fidelity and surety bonds, contract disputes, and real estate matters.

Requirements

• MO bar
• Recent real estate experience

Responsibilities

• Structure, negotiate, and close commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions
• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases (office, retail, industrial), easements, and development agreements
• Advise on and document real estate financing transactions (loan agreements, security instruments, intercreditor agreements)
• Coordinate closings and post-closing deliverables; work with title companies, lenders, and opposing counsel
• Counsel clients on risk allocation, deal structuring, and regulatory compliance
