A highly regarded boutique law firm specializing in complex commercial real estate transactions is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Lending Attorney to join its growing practice. This firm represents private lenders and developers on sophisticated, high-value transactions across the United States, often working directly opposite top-tier law firms on deals exceeding $100M. Requirements
- 4–15 years of experience in commercial real estate finance (lender-side)
- Proven ability to run deals independently
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating loan documents
- Experience representing private (non-institutional) lenders preferred
- Background in a boutique or mid-sized law firm strongly preferred
- New York Bar admission (or eligibility to waive in) required
- JD from an accredited law school
Nice To Haves
- Construction loans, mezzanine financing, or structured deals
- Direct client interaction and deal leadership
- Small portable book of business (a plus, not required)
Responsibilities
- Independently manage commercial real estate lending transactions from inception to closing
- Draft and negotiate loan documents, including:
- Credit agreements
- Construction loan documents
- Mezzanine financing structures
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice on complex deal structures
- Collaborate closely with partners and internal teams
