About The Position

Under limited supervision, the Commercial Paralender will provide administrative support to process, close, and service business and commercial loans. The paralender will assist Loan Officers in preparing, processing, closing, and servicing business loan applications; review and process Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) documentation, Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) claims, and debt protections claims; verify and balance billing and calculate payment changes related to CPI; file business, consumer, and mortgage loan documents with appropriate agencies; order appraisals and distribute funds for payments; process Title work, Certificates of Existence, and other documents required for loan completion; receive financial reports and insurance documents from owners and conduct audits and reviews; and complete any other duties as assigned.

This position will work abnormal hours due to incoming calls from Commercial Team Leaders.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree and some relevant work experience is required.
• A high school diploma or GED and at least three years of administrative/clerical work experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be a team player, and have a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and process CPI documentation, GAP claims, and debt protection claims
• Verify and balance billing and calculate payment changes related to CPI

• Process Title work, Certificates of Existence, and other documents required for loan completion
• Receive financial reports and insurance documents from owners and conduct audits and reviews
• Perform other duties as assigned
