We are searching for a skilled Commercial Panel Board & NEMA electrical combination starters assembler & estimator. This job would entail a hybrid role that would be split between estimating AND assembling that are tailored to each individual client’s specifications & hands-on crafting in a specialized one-of-one Panel Shop. In the estimating portion, you’ll interpret and analyze project specs, review schematics, take inventory of all necessary pieces needed to fully assemble what the client needs in an efficient and expedited manner. The fabrication side will work in direct coordination with the estimation part of the job creating a seamless and efficient transition in house that provides the client with what they need and how fast they need it! This involves assembling and wiring Electrical Panel Boards & NEMA Electrical Combination Starters to precise standards thus ensuring superior build quality, and most importantly proper safety standards met. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys both the analytical side and hands-on aspects of electrical systems, and who takes pride in craftsmanship and quality work.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in electrical panel fabrication and/or estimating in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of NEMA standards, electrical schematics, and wiring practices.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze electrical project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Develop accurate bills of materials (BOM) and cost estimates for custom panel boards and combination starters.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure client requirements are fully understood and met.
  • Source and price components, ensuring cost-efficiency and timely procurement.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and timelines for fabrication and delivery.
  • Assemble and wire custom Electrical Panel Boards and NEMA Combination Starters according to client specifications and industry standards.
  • Ensure all builds meet safety codes, quality benchmarks, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct quality control checks throughout the fabrication process.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the build process to ensure timely delivery.
