About The Position

All Systems Electrical (ASE) is seeking a detail-oriented Panel Fabrication Technician to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on panel-building experience or a working knowledge of switchgear and control panels who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and safety. Using technical drawings and 3D models, you will collaborate with our fabrication team to build automation control panels, switchboards, and panelboards that meet and exceed industry standards for quality and reliability.

Requirements

  • Full-time position, 40+ hours per week
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a production team
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Panel building experience or working knowledge of switchgear and control panels strongly preferred
  • Previous electrical experience or technical schooling preferred
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Must pass background check, drug screen, and E-Verify
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced shop environment
  • Ability to work overhead, in tight spaces, on ladders, and in awkward positions
  • Regular use of vibrating and power tools
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle sometimes stressful workloads

Nice To Haves

  • CNC operation, 3D modeling, or basic drafting knowledge is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assemble control panels, switchgear panels, panelboards, and related electrical equipment following technical drawings and work instructions
  • Wire simple and complex circuits using hand tools and electrical schematics
  • Fabricate and assemble custom-built switchboard sections and panelboards using 3D models and design drawings
  • Operate powered tools such as drills, impact drivers, jigsaws, and angle grinders
  • Program, load, and operate CNC equipment, including a fiber laser, press brake, enclosure modification center, and rotary engraver
  • Test panel components using electrical test equipment (voltmeters, dielectric voltage testers, etc.)
  • Perform material handling, staging, shipping, and receiving duties
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all shop housekeeping standards
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including required PPE
  • Travel may be required for field panel work during peak seasons
