About The Position

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers. Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area. Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area. Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters. Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-ops, or up to 1 year of full-time related work
  • Ability to support off-shifts and weekends as needed
  • Must be willing and able to work 2nd shift, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Experience with process simulation software and CAD tools is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
