About The Position

The Commercial Operations Manager supports American Battery Solutions’ (“ABS”) Sales and Marketing organization by enabling operational excellence, data accuracy, and data-driven decision-making. This role provides the processes, tools, and insights needed to support effective execution of ABS’s commercial strategy. Partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, and Program Management, the Commercial Operations Manager manages pipeline reporting, forecasting, customer scorecard analysis, budget tracking, and commercial handoff processes to ensure visibility, alignment, and accountability across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, or related analytical or business-support roles.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and ERP systems.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including budget tracking, KPI analysis, and data visualization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability in managing sensitive business data.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to supporting both internal teams and customer-facing initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power BI or similar tools preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, energy storage, or industrial technology environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales and Marketing organization with data accuracy, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and continuously improve CRM and ERP tools to ensure consistent tracking of opportunities, quotations, and revenue forecasts.
  • Develop and distribute commercial dashboards and performance reports, integrating sales metrics, marketing KPIs, and customer feedback data.
  • Ingest, analyze, and summarize customer scorecards, identifying trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities for leadership review.
  • Support budget tracking and expenditure monitoring for Sales and Marketing activities, including events, travel, trade shows, and campaign spend.
  • Collaborate with Finance to align forecasts, budgets, and margin targets with overall business objectives.
  • Coordinate the commercial handoff process between Sales, Program Management, and Operations for awarded business.
  • Assist with quotation tracking, contract documentation, and CRM data governance to maintain alignment across functions.
  • Partner with Marketing to measure lead generation, campaign ROI, and brand engagement metrics.
  • Prepare materials and data packages for executive reviews, customer meetings, and business planning sessions.
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies to improve commercial team productivity and decision speed.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
