About The Position

Primoris Energy Services is looking for a Commercial Manager to take charge of the commercial, financial, and contractual success of cutting-edge gas and steam turbine data center/power plant projects. From simple cycle to combined cycle configurations, you'll drive cost control, risk management, and financial performance while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The Commercial Manager will oversee all commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of gas and steam turbine data center & power plant construction projects, including simple cycle and combined cycle configurations. This role is crucial in ensuring cost control, risk management, and financial performance while maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the energy and EPC sectors, managing high-value contracts and driving commercial strategies that align with project objectives. Project budgets range from $75 million to $500 million.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial management within the energy and EPC sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Guaranteed Max Price (GMP), Not to Exceed, and Lump Sum contracts.
  • Proven ability in contract negotiation, procurement, and financial management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and risk assessment tools.
  • Familiarity with local and international regulations governing construction and energy projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
  • Manage and oversee all project contracts, including procurement, subcontracts, and client agreements.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and expenditures, identifying potential overruns and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely invoicing, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Lead commercial risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide support in claims management, dispute resolution, and legal matters.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align commercial and operational objectives.
  • Conduct regular financial and commercial reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and contractual obligations.
