We are seeking a full-time Commercial Loan Processing Specialist to join our team and work on-site at our South Williamsport, PA Branch Office. As part of the Commercial Loan Processing Department, this position reports to the SVP, Loan Operations Manager. The Commercial Loan Processing Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the Commercial Loan Processing function; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information. The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or related field normally required; specialized banking education/training with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in related lending positions normally required. The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties to support the loan processing function, including but not limited to: Develops, prepares, and implements various loan and sales reports; tracks and verifies loan and sales information. Works with Commercial Loan Officer, title companies, and/or attorneys to coordinate and prepare documentation for commercial loans; Obtains signatures on closing documents for routine loans in the absence of the commercial lender. Assists with loan application processing tasks while coordinating the organization and procurement of required information, utilizing the appropriate checklist; prepares loan modifications. Facilitates compliance with CIP, OFACs, Flood Certificates, and flood search information. Verifies and processes a wide variety of credit information which will become part of the loan file. Coordinates commercial loan closing and post-closing; ensures closing of new loans and post-closing are completed according to Bank policies and regulation and in accordance with established timeframes. Maintains required information and Dispenses loan information within prescribed policy in preparation for closing and submits to various jurisdictions for loan perfection. Assists Commercial Loan Officer with customer inquiries; follows up with phone calls and prepares a variety of letters and forms as needed by the Commercial Loan Officer(s). Prepares commitment letters. Performs pre-closing and post-closing reviews to ensure all documentation is correct, signed, dated correctly, and all disclosures are prepared and executed within specified time limits. Processes loan advances according to note agreements; provides checks for loan closings; originates wires, GL transfers, and loan advancements on disbursement dates. Prepares documentation required for participation bought and/or sold loans; responds to inquiries and provide copies of loan documents and tax returns to participating banks; monitors participation loans including adherence to documentation requirements. Prepares Letters of Credit and supporting loan documentation and bills customer accordingly. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness, and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc. Reports pertinent information to the assigned supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate Bank personnel. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.

Requirements

  • The selected candidate must have the ability to use a computer with Windows and Web-based software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient organizational skills; proficient technology skills; thorough knowledge of commercial loan products and services, along with the operating policies and procedures that impact these products; thorough knowledge of current lending regulations and the forms and documents used in providing lending services; visual and auditory skills.
