Our Commercial Lending department is based out of our Main Office located at 221 Commercial Street in Provincetown, MA. While the incumbent will be based out of the Main Office, s/he will transition to focusing on expanding new business in the lower Cape region. Because Seamen’s Bank remains a relatively small Community Bank, it is expected that all employees will contribute above and beyond the duties that are listed in any job description or posting. In addition to the duties listed below, all employees are expected to perform any function necessary within the scope of expertise and authority to provide the highest level of customer service and to increase the productivity of the Bank. It is expected that all employees will continually strive to improve, by educational resources made available, especially in regard to security and compliance procedures. Summary: The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for initiating, maintaining and growing commercial banking relationships by generating commercial loans and making referrals to other banking services. Additional duties include managing an existing commercial loan portfolio and understanding potential growth or risk with the portfolio and performing collection and workout activities as necessary. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate and work well with large groups as well as individually as required.
