About The Position

The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for presenting the bank in a positive manner to encourage loan growth, solicit new customers selling loan, deposit, and fee-based products and services through phone calls, referrals and other personal situations. The individual also services an existing commercial loan portfolio, promoting and cross- selling those products and services to existing bank customers. The individual handles large and complex commercial loan customers.

Requirements

  • Six to eight years related job experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

  • Maintain goodwill with customers and prospects
  • Enhance the bank's profitability through a combination of loan pricing and initiating new banking transactions (primarily deposits)
  • Review loan documentation to prepare for loan closings
  • Review loan presentations for bi-monthly loan committee meetings
  • Manage an assigned commercial loan portfolio
  • Ensure that loans are closed in a time frame consistent with customers' expectations, with particular attention to matured notes
  • Create and maintain a courteous and professional relationship with co-workers while maintaining timely and prompt daily attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
