About The Position

This individual's primary role is to provide a wide variety of skilled clerical and administrative support to the commercial lending team, while overseeing the performance and training of new coordinators. This individual will be knowledgeable about departmental policies and commercial loan documentation and processing procedures. Conduct relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • At minimum high school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the role of Commercial Loan Coordinator.
  • Demonstrated capability to work with discretion and tact in an environment exposed to a high level of sensitive and confidential information.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, effectively managing competing priorities and challenging timelines.
  • Strong orientation towards detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette.
  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff and management, customers and other outside parties.
  • Ability to interpret and follow variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and complete assignments without detailed directions.
  • Willingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to commercial loan department to include loan documentation and processing support, answering telephones, file management, scheduling appointments and meetings, assisting with meeting preparation, preparing reports, assisting visitors, and resolving a range of administrative problems and inquiries.
  • Work with the staffing officer to coordinate the recruitment of candidates for the loan coordinator position. To include interviewing and facilitation of training activities.
  • Provide coaching and support to junior Loan Coordinators, conducting periodic check-ins and performance reviews.
  • Pull and circulate pipeline reports to lenders for Marketing Meeting and to coordinators to review possible loan application needs.
  • Will serve as liaison between coordinators and other business lines to include CLO's, Loan Documentation, Sr. Commercial Lender and Chief Credit Officer.
  • Schedule periodic meetings with Loan Documentation manager to remain current on procedures and best practices.
  • Follow exception reports to identify trending issues and suggest possible solutions.
  • Ensure coordinators are properly uploading the necessary documents to ACCU.
  • Participate in holding company meetings associated with Loan Documentation and CLO-related topics and update coordinator procedures as needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate the quarterly Loan Coordinator meeting to discuss policy changes, best practices, and training needs.
  • Monitor progress of audit issues and conduct necessary follow-up.
  • Serve as ETime supervisor for Loan Coordinators and coordinate any time off requests to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Administer CREtelligent needs and assign delegate as appropriate.
  • Oversee department BCP requirements ensuring compliance.
  • Assist the Senior Lender with other reporting as needed.

  • Ensure cross training of others for any reporting obligations.
  • Periodically review the Loan Coordinator duties list and update as needed.
  • Professionally and discreetly handle highly sensitive confidential information.
  • Provide accurate product information and actively identify cross-sell opportunities; make appropriate business referrals to other departments
  • Consistently demonstrate proficiency in providing exemplary customer service in person and by telephone.
  • Advise management of problems with procedures, policies, improper calculations, deadlines, and other problems.
  • Ensure that all routine requisitions and services calls are addressed.
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area and ensure that all confidential records are secured and/or disposed of properly.
  • Attend all the training required.
  • Assist others in the department as needed and/or directed.
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities. May be assigned work or training at other assigned locations.
