SUMMARY: Responsible for the preparation of closing instructions and performing company procedures required to close, fund and board commercial loans in accordance with company policies and requirements ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform a thorough and complete review of loan package to ensure that the loan transaction and approval complies with the terms outlined in the loan commitment/credit memo, and is structured in accordance with regulatory guidelines and corporate loan policy Enter detailed loan information into the loan platform system; prepare loan documents accurately and issue to closing attorneys and/or title companies. Order flood determinations and obtain flood notice disclosures when required Review preliminary documents received from closing agent such as the legal description for the property to be encumbered, settlement statement, title commitment, organizational documents, survey, insurance policy, and UCC searches to ensure the status of the title of the property is acceptable to the bank. Coordinate loan funding with the closing attorney and wire funds to closing attorney for closing Follow wiring protocols to verify data, and obtain proper wire verification before processing wires Prepare loan funding tickets and collect bank fees associated with loan closing and apply to proper General Ledger Accounts Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers Prioritize and monitor workflow to meet closing deadlines Perform a post-closing review of all executed loan documents ensuring all necessary documentation is complete, accurate, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Assemble collateral file, assign loan number and provide collateral file to Loan Boarding to input into core system Complete HMDA reporting in loan platform system, when applicable JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required Prior commercial or other type of loan closing experience is preferred Paralegal background is a plus KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED: Excellent customer service skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environment Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS: Standing, walking, bending and stooping required Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer Must be able to occasionally move or lift up to 10 pounds May be asked to work supplemental hours periodically Limited travel occasionally required during and after business hours The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the incumbent assigned to this classification.
