About The Position

Commercial Loan Administrator The Commercial Loan Administrator (CLA) supports the commercial lending function throughout the entire lifecycle of client relationships, serving as a central point of coordination among borrowers, lenders, Loan Servicing, and internal partners. Reporting to the CLA Manager, this role operates within a centralized support team aligned with the commercial lending group. The CLA is responsible for executing core credit and operational tasks with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, responsiveness, and consistency. This position is part of a defined career path within the Commercial Lending Team. As experience and expertise grow, the CLA will take on increased responsibility in supporting lender relationships, portfolio management, and more complex credit and operational functions .

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and math aptitude.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, COCC Insight, Digital Archives, iDentifi and LaserPro.
  • Must be able to learn any new software program utilized by Commercial Lending.
  • High School diploma required, college degree or relevant work experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years banking experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial lending and/or commercial loan documentation preparation and review preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong understanding of Commercial Loan Policies, Procedures, and Compliance.
  • Gather and organize borrower financials to support lender relationships and portfolio management.
  • Coordinate loan closings, acting as a liaison between loan officers, attorneys, and internal teams.
  • Prepare loan documentation, commitment letters, and modification/extension packages.
  • Ensure adherence to all lending and compliance policies throughout the loan lifecycle.
  • Order and review third-party reports (flood, environmental, UCC) and completes related filings.
  • Complete onboarding, HMDA/CRA data entry, and document scanning/indexing.
  • Track post-closing items, missing documentation, and maintains regulatory reports (e.g., Reg B).
  • Support reporting, correspondence, audits, and examinations.
  • Notify and keep Loan Servicing updated of upcoming loan closing, modifications or amendments in a timely manner
  • Ensure the effective coordination of the commercial loan closing process with Commercial Loan Servicing, verifying accuracy of required documents.
  • Assist customers with servicing inquiries
  • Provide backup support to Commercial Lenders for customer inquiries across lending and deposit activities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring timely follow-through and accurate resolution.
  • Uphold Bank customer service standards in all internal and external interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, Privacy, and risk mitigation practices.
