Requirements
- Must be admitted to the Illinois bar and in good standing
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation, with additional experience in land use and environmental law considered a plus.
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with land use and environmental law is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of commercial litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial disputes.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Advise clients on risk assessment and litigation strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues on land use and environmental matters when applicable.
