About The Position

Under direct supervision and following standard procedures with some limited independent judgement, compiles data, performs routine tasks, reviews documentation and facilitates modifications. Processes basic policy changes to support the underwriting process by performing the following duties.

• Level 2: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, indexes, scans, modifies and processes documents
• Communicates with underwriters, agencies, and vendors to obtain additional information regarding certain transactions and to answer agents’ questions.
• Enters new business applications, policy changes and renewal changes into the system.
• Processes various documents, including Michigan Liquor Control Commission filings, motor carrier filings, inspection and loss control documents, and others
• Requests and reviews information for reports including credit, motor vehicle reports, inspection and loss control reports, and other insured information.
• Reviews and approves endorsement requests and renewals within authority level.
• Routes risk-involved matters that are beyond assigned authority to underwriter for evaluation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
