Interns at IMA are a big deal! We understand how significant your decision on where to spend an internship is and what a positive experience can do to catapult your career. The best experiences provide true immersion in a company’s culture, access to and networking with senior leaders and industry experts, opportunities to apply what you learn through real work that drives real results, and a fun and engaging cohort to share the experience with! With this in mind, we’ve crafted our program to allow you to engage directly in our values driven culture through company, department, and cohort events, all while being challenged with a blend of learning programs, informative networking sessions with IMA associates, and opportunities to engage in department specific work projects that have real world impact for our clients, our business, and our associates. As an intern, your time will be divided between a core program shared with the entire cohort and specialized work, projects, and programming tailored to the department you join. The Commercial Lines team is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for an intern in our 2026 summer program! This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience at the Wallingford office, under a flexible schedule of 4 days in the office and Friday working remotely. Daily responsibilities will include: Assist Account Managers with daily tasks, clerical work, and project needs while learning core service workflows such as certificates, endorsements, and EPIC navigation. Attend carrier and client-facing meetings to gain exposure to different account types, strengthen communication skills, and build industry understanding. Complete spreadsheet-based tasks— including SOVs and other Excel work—to support account maintenance and client documentation. Participate in networking activities, mentorship opportunities, and collaboration with other interns to support professional development. Demonstrate trainability by continually learning Outlook tools, service procedures, and administrative responsibilities essential to the service side of the business. We’re proud of the success many of our former interns have had when they’ve pursued careers as IMA associates’ post-graduation and see our internship program as a key talent pipeline. Because of this, p reference is given to students closer to graduation, who demonstrate a curiosity about future employment within our industry.
