About The Position
An internship with the Hilb Group offers students the opportunity to explore various career paths within a growing insurance brokerage. As a rapidly expanding organization, we provide hands-on learning experiences and exposure to real-world projects that support both personal and professional development. Interns will work closely with experienced team members, gain insights into our business operations, and contribute to meaningful marketing and sales initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to travel to our corporate office in Richmond, VA, where you will connect with fellow interns, network with company leaders, and participate in a volunteer event. This internship may lead to full-time employment opportunities upon graduation. We're excited to help you grow with us!
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry and grow professionally
Nice To Haves
- Preferred majors include Business Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields
Responsibilities
- Shadow Account Managers and participate in client and internal meetings to gain real-world exposure
- Support data management efforts and assist with special projects across teams
- Assist with social media, digital marketing, and other marketing-related initiatives
- Collaborate with team members on day-to-day operational and administrative tasks
- Develop a foundational understanding of the insurance industry, brokerage operations, and client service models
