About The Position

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and providing expert guidance on insurance coverage, renewals, and policy changes. The Account Manager acts as the key liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ Commercial Lines experience with middle market accounts and worked in Florida or Florida accounts
  • Active Florida 2-20 license
  • Proficient HawkSoft insurance agency management software system and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations to manage, maintain, and write assigned client and prospect lists effectively.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others to explain complex issues.
  • Ability to receive and interpret complex information and respond appropriately.
  • Thorough detail-oriented to manage multiple clients, tasks, and requests
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and to accurately perform simple calculations involving decimals and fractions.

Responsibilities

  • Work efficiently with agency producers to assemble, market, and place coverage for new clients
  • Help AE with Accords and supplementals
  • Assists clients with coverage; uses each contact with the client as an opportunity to review the whole account
  • Provides technical support to producers to benefit clients and to reach producers and the agency’s strategic business goals
  • Prepares proposals and completes applications in coordination with producers; submits applications to eligible and appropriate carriers; obtains client signatures on all applications; follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies
  • Review current policy information with clients and make coverage recommendations.
  • Process Insured policy change requests
  • Follow up to ensure the accuracy of endorsements processed by the carrier.
  • Underwrite, rewrite, re-quote, reinstate, and cancel existing policies on behalf of the insured
  • Obtain all underwriting information and/or any trailing documentation from the client on behalf of the carrier
  • Notate all interactions with Insureds in the agency client management system
  • Process Insured payments and review billing accounts with insureds
  • Maintain client files in the client management system
  • Furnish clients with requests for proof of insurance (certificates of insurance, binders, policies, endorsements, ID cards, declaration pages, and evidence of commercial property forms)
  • Deliver client correspondence via Email/USPS
