Requirements
- Current PA State Property and Casualty insurance producer license and previous agency or company experience
- Thorough knowledge of basic lines of insurance coverage and products
- Familiarity with the Commercial Lines Manual and specific coverage forms
- Understand rate making and proven ability to operate company specific rating software
- Professional appearance, strong interpersonal and communication skills, positive and professional attitude
Responsibilities
- Utilize agency management system and carrier websites to process new business, renewals, billings and endorsements
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Follow established agency policy and standard operating procedures
- Provide front line service for book of business assigned to you by anticipating and responding to customer needs in a timely and professional manner
- Analyze policy coverage, rates as required, and make changes as appropriate
- Act as liaison, communicate and negotiate with company underwriters
- Maintain and nurture good customer and company relations
- Communicate and interact with client by phone, in person or in writing
- Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct
- Perform additional duties as required
