About The Position

The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day servicing of commercial lines clients and maintenance of exceptional customer relations. This person acts as a generalist within our industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related program or equivalent experience in the insurance industry
  • 3 years’ experience in commercial lines property & casualty account servicing preferred
  • A valid resident Property & Casualty insurance license is required
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, AMS360 and ImageRight.
  • Knowledge of insurance coverages and an ability to communicate this clearly to clients and underwriters.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations, industry standards, and compliance best practices.
  • Understanding of commercial insurance underwriting, coverage & rate analysis.
  • Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a positive attitude, and willingness to help others.
  • Able to work under pressure and time constraints in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage and retain existing book of business.
  • Review and process bill renewals, new policies, and policy changes.
  • Thoroughly review all commercial insurance policies for their accuracy, research coverage discrepancies until resolved, and communicate changes to insurance company.
  • Handle coverage questions, research, and resolve problems.
  • Interact with carriers and internal/external customers to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Manage the process of renewal submissions for marketing including application(s), necessary exhibit(s), narrative(s), collection of loss runs and answers to underwriting questions.
  • Submit applications to eligible and appropriate carriers and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
  • Perform other duties as may be required or assigned.
