About The Position

Axos is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Commercial Lending Transaction Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the commercial lending process by managing loan documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional service to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial lending practices, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial lending or loan operations
  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan products, documentation, and regulatory requirements
  • Fundamental math/accounting/finance skills to understand debits, credits, balancing, amortization schedules, etc.
  • Prior paralegal, commercial lending loan administration and/or closing experience
  • Motivated and extremely organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Capable of managing several deliverables at once

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review commercial loan documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure all necessary documents are obtained, properly executed, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and other relevant parties to gather required information and documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan files and records
  • Perform periodic reviews of loan files to ensure compliance and address any discrepancies
  • Facilitate the boarding of loans from our origination system platform to our payment system platform
  • Ensure seamless data transfer and integration between systems
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to system integration
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and ensure all lending activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to mitigate risk and enhance operational efficiency
  • Provide exceptional service to Sales and Underwriting as well as external clients, Title and Escrow, by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless lending process and enhance client satisfaction
