About The Position

8-week Internship program with CTX Lending and Credit Departments to observe and to review credit and financial reports to determine risk involved in loaning money or extending credit.

Requirements

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance, preferably enrolled in Commercial Banking Certificate Program. A transcript and resume are required.
• Minimum junior in college (to be senior or pursuing Master’s in the next Academic year).
• Ability to work on multiple transactions simultaneously and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex financial information and identify relevant risks.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Applicants must be based in Austin area.

Responsibilities

• One- or two-weeks basic Credit Analysis training
• Spreading and analysis of commercial financial statements for prospective and existing loan customers.
• Reviewing loan request presentation packages including loan structuring, collateral analysis, guarantor analysis, and calculation of Global Debt Service Coverage.
• Rotations through various departments as available.
• Shadowing opportunities as assigned.
• Final summer project based around a loan presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
