About The Position

We are partnering with a well-established regional financial institution in Florida seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to drive business development and manage a growing portfolio of commercial clients. This role is responsible for originating, structuring, and managing commercial loans while delivering a high level of client service across diverse industries. The ideal candidate brings a strong network within the Florida market, a proven ability to generate new business, and sound credit acumen to ensure portfolio quality and growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• 5–10+ years of commercial lending experience (C&I and/or CRE)
• Proven track record of business development in the Florida market
• Strong credit analysis and underwriting skills
• Experience with loan structuring and portfolio management
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Knowledge of Florida market dynamics preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop new commercial lending relationships through active business development efforts
• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of C&I and/or CRE clients
• Structure, underwrite, and present loan opportunities for approval
• Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and collateral to assess credit risk
• Partner with credit, treasury management, and operations teams to deliver comprehensive solutions
• Monitor portfolio performance, including renewals, modifications, and risk ratings
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Represent the organization within the local business community
