Day in the Life Start your morning dispatched directly from home, route to a local hospital, fitness center, or motel, and dive into hands-on diagnostics with commercial washers, dryers, and ironers. You’ll isolate electrical and mechanical issues, restore equipment to peak performance, and leave customers confident in both the repair and the partnership. Your upbeat approach and strong work ethic help us strengthen relationships and grow our business. Your Impact Troubleshoot and repair commercial laundry equipment across On-Premises Laundry (OPL) and vended environments. Install replacement parts and components as needed. Document all service activities accurately, including time and materials used. Record all travel details precisely, including mileage and fuel purchases. Communicate clearly with customers about diagnostics, repairs, and next steps to ensure satisfaction. Coordinate with the service manager, parts team, and vendors to produce accurate, timely work. Care for and maintain tools, test equipment, and a company-supplied service vehicle. Support install teams with equipment installations and deliveries when needed. Pitch in with additional tasks that keep the department operating efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 2+ years of mechanical repair experience; commercial laundry experience preferred but not required.
  • Equivalent education/training/experience considered.
  • Working knowledge of electrical test instruments and other diagnostic/programming tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation.
  • Organized and detail-oriented; able to self-manage workload, juggle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; professional, positive, and enthusiastic across all levels.
  • Resilient and comfortable with change and ambiguity.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic—proactive, persistent, and tenacious.
  • Regular sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending, climbing, and fine motor work.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently; assistive devices provided for heavier items.
  • Frequent talking/hearing; hands-on tool use and computer-based work with close vision and focus adjustment.
  • Valid driver’s license required; clean Motor Vehicle Record required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting customers via phone, email, and ticketing/dispatch systems preferred.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
