A Day in the Life You kick off the morning reviewing dispatch tickets from our phone/email ticketing system, load your company vehicle with the parts you’ll need, and head to customer sites across your service territory. Some days you’re completing a full installation—mounting, connecting single‑phase electrical power, starting up, and validating operation. Other days you’re diagnosing a stubborn fault, disassembling components for repair, or coaching a customer on the proper use of their new commercial washer or dryer. When an emergency/unscheduled service request comes in, you pivot quickly—keeping the Service Manager informed and escalating issues that need higher‑level attention. What You’ll Do Install, start up, and verify operation of commercial laundry equipment, following company quality standards, techniques, and safety requirements. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues; perform accurate repairs and adjustments, and document your findings and recommendations for clients. Provide clear instructions to customers on proper usage after installation and testing. Conduct routine preventive maintenance; disassemble and reassemble equipment and components as needed for service. Research and place parts orders; review work orders and invoices to ensure parts are ordered on time to meet deadlines. Maintain and report on inventory in your assigned vehicle; track and submit company expenses accurately. Produce precise service reports summarizing work performed. Travel within the territory to perform on‑site installs, troubleshooting, and repairs; respond to emergency/unscheduled maintenance calls assigned by the Service Manager. Share best practices, communicate critical escalations, and contribute to process improvements. Pitch in with additional tasks that keep the department running smoothly.
