About The Position

A day in this role Start your morning by reviewing the day’s service tickets, confirming parts on your truck, and mapping your route. You’ll head to customer sites in a company vehicle to install, start up, and commission commercial washers and dryers. Throughout the day, you’ll diagnose electro-mechanical issues, coach customers on proper operation, and document your work before moving on to the next call. When urgent, you’ll respond to unscheduled requests assigned by the Service Manager and escalate complex situations promptly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Knowledge of single-phase electrical power systems (required).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; skilled at troubleshooting and resolving electrical and mechanical issues; able to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail; able to self-manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; professional, positive, and collaborative with all levels of the organization.
  • Resilience amid changing priorities; proactive self-starter with initiative and tenacity.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience repairing commercial, military, industrial, or manufacturing equipment (preferred). Equivalent education/training/experience considered.
  • Comfort with phone/email and ticketing-dispatch customer support (preferred).
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and service commercial laundry equipment in line with Alliance Laundry Systems quality standards, policies, procedures, company techniques, and safety requirements.
  • Identify root causes, perform accurate diagnoses, and complete mechanical and electrical repairs; verify fixes through testing and operation checks.
  • Educate customers on safe, effective equipment use following installation and testing; share clear findings and recommendations.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities; remove parts for repair and research/order replacements to minimize downtime.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment and subassemblies for maintenance or repair in collaboration with the team.
  • Research parts, place orders, and review work orders/invoices to ensure timely parts availability and on-time job completion.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle inventory and submit expense reports and service documentation with precision.
  • Travel to client locations in a company vehicle for on-site installations, troubleshooting, and repairs; respond to emergency or unscheduled maintenance as assigned by the Service Manager.
  • Communicate high-priority issues to the Service Manager and contribute ideas to improve processes and best practices.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to keep department operations running efficiently.
