A Day in This Role Start your morning by reviewing service tickets, loading your company vehicle, and heading to a customer site. You’ll mount and level commercial washers and dryers, connect power and water, run start-up diagnostics, and verify safe operation. After the install, you’ll walk the customer through best-use practices, document your work, and note any parts needed for follow-up. In the afternoon, you might troubleshoot an urgent call, collaborate with the Service Manager on an escalation, and place parts orders so deadlines are met. You finish by updating inventory for your vehicle and submitting accurate expense and service reports. What You’ll Do Install, commission, and repair commercial laundry equipment to company quality standards and safety policies. Diagnose issues, share findings and recommendations, and train customers on proper equipment operation after installation and testing. Perform routine preventive maintenance; remove components for repair and request or order replacement parts as needed. Produce clear, accurate service documentation summarizing work performed. Collaborate on equipment and component disassembly for maintenance or repair. Research, select, and place parts orders; review work orders and invoices to ensure timely procurement that supports project schedules. Manage vehicle stock and submit accurate reports of company expenses. Travel in a company vehicle within the service territory to complete on-site installs, repairs, and troubleshooting, including occasional emergency and unscheduled assignments from the Service Manager. Communicate escalations effectively to the Service Manager; contribute to process improvements and best practices. Perform other tasks as needed to keep the department operating efficiently.
