About The Position

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician at Excell Refrigeration is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of HVAC systems, including up to 20-ton units and split systems. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. The technician will ensure compliance with safety protocols while providing top-notch service to clients. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to professional growth are essential. Candidates must possess EPA certification, a valid Florida driver’s license, and relevant experience in commercial HVAC. Requirements

  • Must have a Valid Florida Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record.
  • Must know electrical schematics and be able to trace wires
  • Must have EPA/Universal
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Proactive safety attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Control/EMS experience a plus but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or college.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment, including evaporator coils, condenser coils, and compressors.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and complex repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Troubleshoot heating and cooling systems
  • Heat reclaim system experience preferred
  • Communicate effectively with team members, office staff, and management.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Follow company protocols and report any workplace hazards.
  • Supervise preventative maintenance for assigned accounts.
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper service accounting and parts procurement.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service vehicle.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and training.
  • Adhere to all Excell Refrigeration policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with dispatch and accurately log work hours.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and forms promptly.
  • Share customer feedback with supervisors for continuous improvement.
  • Always be professional and courteous with customers, internal management, and peers.
  • Continuously exceeds customer expectations of service.
