Reports to: Service Leader FLSA Status: Non- Exempt Location: Las Vegas The Company Mechanical Products Nevada is the largest independent HVAC and Plumbing Equipment and Solutions provider in Nevada. Our company recently celebrated its 30-year anniversary and has grown to approximately 65 employees serving the vibrant Las Vegas and Reno markets. We represent over 50 manufacturers, offering innovative systems with flexibility of equipment and solutions to best match each application. We work with industry professionals and end users from the conceptual stage of projects to provide energy efficient, value‐added solutions to their complex problems. The Opportunity We are looking for a dependable and driven Entry-Level Industrial HVAC Helper to support our technicians in the startup, commissioning, and warranty service of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This role is ideal for individuals looking to begin a long-term career in the HVAC trade with a focus on high-performance systems in complex environments such as data centers, manufacturing facilities, and large commercial buildings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Strong interest in industrial/commercial HVAC systems
  • Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical systems and hand tools
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a team environment
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Any OSHA, EPA 608, or manufacturer-specific training is a plus (or willingness to obtain)

  • Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to build technical knowledge
  • Comfortable working around high-voltage equipment, controls, and heavy machinery
  • Detail-oriented and able to document work performed clearly and accurately
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct

Responsibilities

  • Work with Data Center team to complete quarterly maintenance
  • Assist the Data Center team on equipment repairs as needed
  • Assist with start-up and commissioning of HVAC systems, including chillers, rooftop units, VRF systems, VFDs, and more
  • Support technicians during diagnostics and warranty-related service calls, documenting findings and performing basic troubleshooting
  • Help with system inspections, performance checks, and calibration tasks under technician supervision
  • Assist in cooling tower rebuilds and cleanings
  • Prepare and maintain clean, organized work areas on job sites
  • Load, unload, and stage tools, materials, and equipment
  • Follow all company safety protocols and wear required PPE
  • Support documentation of system performance and jobsite progress
  • Maintain and clean company vehicles, tools, and equipment
