About The Position

The Commercial HVAC Install Helper works closely with a Lead HVAC Installation Technician to assist in the installation and/or replacement of commercial HVAC/R systems. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • HVAC trade school certificate/diploma or current enrollment in a trade school preferred.
  • Previous experience in construction or a relatable field is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and materials.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced HVAC technicians.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Must pass a drug screen and complete a satisfactory background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Lead Technician throughout the installation process of commercial HVAC/R systems.
  • Carry out basic tasks such as lifting and moving equipment, tools, and materials to and from the work area.
  • Prepare job sites by organizing and setting up necessary tools and equipment.
  • Help with the installation of electrical wiring, controls, and sensors according to specifications.
  • Perform basic measurements, calculations, and adjustments as directed by the Lead Technician.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools and materials are properly stored.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during the installation process.
  • Communicate effectively with the Lead Technician and other team members to ensure smooth coordination and completion of tasks.
  • Safely drives company vehicle, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all safety requirements.
