About The Position

Global Placement Firm is partnering with a respected commercial mechanical services company in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania , to identify a skilled Commercial HVAC/R Technician experienced in the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems . As a Commercial HVAC/R Technician , you will: Diagnose, service, and repair commercial refrigeration systems , including walk-in coolers, freezers, split systems, rooftop units (RTUs), and rack refrigeration systems . Perform routine preventive maintenance and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues with precision and professionalism. Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used, diagnostics, and repair notes. Communicate clearly with dispatch, management, and customers to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment .
• EPA Universal Certification (required).
• Hands-on experience with split systems, rooftop units, walk-in coolers & freezers, and rack refrigeration systems .
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work in field environments.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, including split systems, RTUs, and rack systems.
• Skilled in diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and system optimization.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and focused on delivering top-quality results.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, and installations on commercial HVAC/R systems.
• Identify and resolve system performance issues quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with EPA , OSHA , and local building codes.
• Support system upgrades, retrofits, and component replacements as needed.
• Represent both the client company and Global Placement Firm with professionalism and integrity.
