This role is responsible for the installation, repair, and replacement of commercial glass systems including storefronts, curtain wall systems, doors, and specialty glazing applications. The ideal candidate has strong field experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew on active job sites

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial glazing experience (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of storefront systems, framing, and installation methods
  • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings accurately
  • Experience with aluminum systems and glass handling
  • Comfortable working at heights and on lifts
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physical labor daily

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with major storefront systems (e.g., Kawneer, YKK, Tubelite, Oldcastle)
  • Knowledge of door hardware installation and adjustment
  • Familiarity with sealants, gaskets, and glazing methods
  • Forklift and lift certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Install commercial glass systems including:
  • Storefront systems (aluminum framing & glass)
  • Curtain wall systems
  • Entry doors, door hardware, and closers
  • Glass panels, insulated glass units (IGUs), and safety glass
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
  • Measure openings and verify field dimensions
  • Fabricate and assemble framing systems as needed
  • Ensure proper sealing, waterproofing, and weatherproofing of systems
  • Safely operate lifts, scaffolding, and job site equipment
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades on-site
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and adjust as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines
