About The Position

Glass Doctor of North Texas is growing fast, and we're looking for a commercial glass pro who knows their stuff: storefronts, door systems, custom hardware, and everything in between. This role blends project management, material ordering, and technical expertise. You'll oversee materials for all projects within our Commercial Service Division, ensuring every job runs smoothly from measure to install. You'll work closely with our VP, field techs, and office team to anticipate issues, solve technical challenges, and keep projects on schedule and on budget. Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial glass experience (storefronts, doors, hardware, service work)
  • Strong technical knowledge of glazing systems, door hardware, and fabrication details
  • Proven ability to turn measure sheets and field notes into precise material orders
  • Comfortable meeting techs in the field and ensuring materials are right the first time
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in making technical decisions
  • A self-starter who asks "why" and constantly looks for ways to make things better
  • Excellent communicator who can bridge the gap between the field and the office
  • Highly organized, dependable, and motivated to grow with a thriving company

Responsibilities

  • Project Manage and Order Materials for all commercial glass and door projects
  • Create detailed cut sheets and job packets for the field team to ensure accuracy
  • Serve as the technical expert for the Commercial Division , assisting the team with product questions, material issues, and problem-solving
  • Meet technicians on-site for large or complex projects to confirm measurements, evaluate site conditions, and identify potential installation challenges before they happen
  • Estimate repairs and replacements, write proposals, and track material lead times
  • Coordinate deliveries and schedules to ensure projects stay on track
  • Support the VP and field team with insight into product options, installation best practices, and system compatibility
  • Troubleshoot and resolve field issues quickly and effectively
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing when needed
  • Continuously improving ordering processes, reducing errors and maximizing efficiency
