About The Position

The Commercial Finance Manager will serve as a business partner to the AMER Sales leadership team, providing financial guidance, performance insights, and decision support to drive revenue growth and profitability. This role blends financial expertise with business acumen, overseeing planning, forecasting, and reporting activities, while managing an analyst supporting the sales function. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize financial outcomes across the region

Requirements

  • Partner with AMER Sales leadership to provide financial guidance and strategic decision support.
  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Advanced ability to build and interpret complex financial models and forecasts.
  • Sales Performance Analysis: Advanced expertise in evaluating sales performance metrics and identifying key drivers.
  • Variance Analysis & Reporting: Advanced skill in analyzing budget-to-actual variances and providing actionable insights.
  • Business Partnering: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Excel & SQL: Strong Excel skills needed; SQL experience preferred (can be developed on the job).
  • Leadership & Team Management: Demonstrated experience managing analysts or leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic Planning: Skilled in providing high-level decision support, scenario planning, and long-range forecasting.
  • BI Tools & Data Visualization: Experience collaborating with Business Intelligence teams on reporting and visualization.
  • Work Experience: Typically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
  • Education and Certification(s): Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
  • Experience in financial planning & analysis, commercial finance, or sales finance, inclusive of 2+ years in a leadership or business partnering capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with AMER Sales leadership to provide financial guidance and strategic decision support.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning processes for the sales organization.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess profitability, performance, and investment opportunities.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly reporting, including variance analysis and executive summaries.
  • Track and analyze customer rebates, accruals, and sales incentives in collaboration with Accounting.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Data teams to enhance reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to junior analysts supporting the sales function.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
  • Communicate financial insights clearly to stakeholders across business functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting accuracy.
