Heritage Fence Company is looking for an Commercial Fence & Heavy Civil Estimator to join our growing team! This role is a great opportunity for a safety conscious individual with experience in the construction industry . We service the Residential, Commercial, and Industrial markets in eastern PA, MD, DE, VA, NJ, NY with a focus on all types of Fencing (Wood, PVC, Aluminum, Chain Link, Steel, Temporary, etc) Railings, Wooden & Steel Guide Rails, Dumpster Enclosures, Anti-Climb, Temporary Pedestrian Barriers, Jersey Barriers (PVC & Concrete), Gate Operators, Access Control and much more!

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years’ Sales experience
  • Reliable transportation to/from the office
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • US Citizenship or Working Visa
  • Ability to work full time M – F, 8am – 6pm (flex schedule available) & occasional Saturday mornings
  • Ability to read Blue Prints & to perform Fence Material Take-Offs
  • Good math skills
  • Computer Skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills, multi-tasking skills
  • Positive attitude

Responsibilities

  • Meet with decision makers to discuss project options and take measurements
  • Provide pricing/estimate based on Client’s specifications and review with Upper Management
  • Type up and submit detailed proposals to Clients via email
  • Respond to potential customer questions/concerns within 24 hours
  • Review Contract with client via phone conversation (after it has been awarded to Heritage Fence)
  • Order materials needed for each job
  • Daily communication with Operations to ensure smooth installation of projects
  • Participation in weekly hand-off meetings between Estimating and Operations
  • Help manage operating expenses by allocating materials for minimal waste, facilitating clean transitions from one job to the next
  • Acknowledgement of walk-in Customers and ability to write up and process Sales Orders
  • Become familiar with local zoning and code restrictions
  • Plan, implement and manage tasks in accordance with priorities and goals
  • Adhere to relevant safety regulations and requirements
  • Peacefully resolve any problems or issues that may arise
  • Prospect local GC’s/Clients to get on bid list
  • Foster relationships with current clients and potential new clients
  • Visit current job site to meet with GC’s Superintendents
  • Follow up on all outstanding bids with appropriate clients
  • If Won or Lost, discuss deciding factors – were we apples to apples compared
  • Calculate job costing to determine if bid value is accurate
  • Become an expert on our different product lines and know in great detail the pros & cons of each system
