About The Position

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for a technically minded professional based in the Northampton/Pioneer Valley area. The specialist will conduct energy assessments at commercial facilities, evaluate building systems, and present findings and recommended solutions to clients. The role involves working across various areas such as EV charging, lighting, HVAC, and weatherization, helping businesses understand their options and leverage available incentives. Full training on energy assessment methodology will be provided, making it suitable for individuals transitioning from related fields like HVAC, building inspection, facilities management, or construction. The position is full-time and salaried. Artis Energy Solutions, operating since 2016, focuses on helping businesses, municipalities, schools, and nonprofits improve energy performance through customized upgrades to reduce costs, improve productivity, and achieve sustainability.

Requirements

• 2+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in energy, HVAC, refrigeration, or building services
• Must have valid U.S. drivers license
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; college degree or license in a skilled trade (e.g., electrical, mechanical)
• Strong phone and virtual meeting skills
• Strong aptitude for Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be based in the Pioneer Valley and willing to drive to customer sites across the area
• Must pass a mandatory background check

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site comprehensive energy assessments of commercial, industrial, municipal, and nonprofit facilities to identify efficiency upgrade opportunities
• Evaluate building systems including lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, insulation, weatherization, and building controls during walk-through inspections
• Document site conditions through photos, measurements, and detailed field notes
• Debrief clients after assessments by clearly explaining findings, recommended upgrades, incentive process, and available incentives in a way that is easy to understand
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by serving as a trusted point of contact throughout the assessment and project handoff process
• Answer client questions about energy efficiency solutions, timelines, and expected outcomes with confidence and professionalism
• Maintain accurate assessment records and upload required documents in Salesforce
