About The Position

RQ Construction is looking for a Drywall & Framing Superintendent to oversee field execution for our self-perform building trades operations on multiple projects in the Southeast. This role is responsible for leading crews and coordinating subcontractors across multiple scopes, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. Our projects support federal and military clients and require disciplined execution, strong leadership, and the ability to manage fast-paced construction environments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Superintendent role managing commercial drywall and framing scopes
• Strong working knowledge of Division 9 systems, including layout, framing, hanging, and finishing processes
• Proven ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously
• Experience with project scheduling, safety compliance, and quality control processes
• OSHA 30, CPR, First Aid, EM-385, and STS certifications required (or ability to obtain)

Nice To Haves

• Background working on government, military, or large commercial construction projects preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with tools such as Primavera (P3/P6), Viewpoint, BIM, or Revit is a plus

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate field foremen, internal crews, and subcontractors performing framing, drywall, window, and door installations
• Plan and manage daily jobsite activities to maintain workflow, sequencing, and productivity
• Monitor project schedules and adjust field operations to stay on track
• Enforce quality standards and verify all work meets drawings, specifications, and company expectations
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all field operations
• Serve as the primary field contact for building trades coordination and issue resolution
• Mentor and support foremen to strengthen team performance and accountability
