The Commercial Division Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the Commercial Department, Warehouse, and Local Operations teams. This position ensures efficiency, profitability, and accountability across all related business functions while fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Commercial Department Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate all Commercial Department activities. Establish measurable departmental goals and performance standards. Analyze department data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Monitor results and trends to support accurate business forecasting. Prepare and deliver performance reports for both team and individual metrics. Develop and implement operational strategies that enhance productivity and profitability. Warehouse Responsibilities Partner with Warehouse staff and Commercial Operations to manage inbound goods, receiving, pulls, locations, and loading. Oversee warehouse scheduling, staffing, and shift management. Supervise household goods storage operations and maintain accurate inventory records. Participate on the Warehouse Inventory Management Team in selecting and implementing new software. Maintain a clean and organized yard, including parking lot, trucks, and equipment areas. Ensure proper use, storage, and accountability of company gear, dollies, panel carts, hand trucks, and other equipment. Lead warehouse loss prevention efforts and enforce equipment control procedures. Local Operations Responsibilities Monitor and prevent misuse of local trucks; ensure vehicles are properly maintained and in safe operating condition. Manage daily workflow, scheduling, and rotation of Local Operations staff to maintain balanced workloads and operational efficiency. Oversee dispatch operations to ensure profitability and timely service delivery. Control workflow scheduling, approve emergency jobs, and promote a proactive, solutions-driven mindset. Learn and perform local dispatching duties to provide coverage during staff absences. Plan manpower and resource allocation for large commercial projects. Conduct monthly Local Operations meetings to review performance and address improvement opportunities. Represent the Commack and Local Operations teams in company management meetings. Develop and propose new strategies to increase profitability and improve workflow conditions.
