What you’ll do Kpler’s Sales team is looking for a highly motivated Commercial Development Manager to drive pipeline generation and commercial development across France & Switzerland, supporting deal execution in coordination with Kpler’s contracting and legal entities.

Requirements

  • Experience in Account Executive/Sales roles
  • Experience working for technology/data vendors/in financial markets
  • 3 years experience in a commercial role
  • Fluency in English & French
  • A proactive ‘hunter’ mentality
  • Strong negotiator

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the maritime space
  • Experience in the commodities space
  • Experience using sales tools such as Salesforce, Zoominfo, Outreach, Sales Navigator
  • Skills & Competencies Experience in the financials space beneficial
  • Knowledge of commodities markets and trends.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a territory, ensuring timely and thorough responses to client requests while meeting or exceeding annual pipeline generation and territory growth targets
  • Serve as a commercial partner for the business, supporting budgeting, multi-year planning, demand planning, reporting, and key metrics.
  • Gather insights on products and competitors directly from clients to inform strategy.
  • Keep the CRM up-to-date with accurate notes and updates, collaborating with the sales team to maintain achievable forecasts.
  • Support cross-functional teams and share expertise to drive organizational success.
  • Represent Kpler externally with professionalism and credibility.
  • Contribute to corporate projects and initiatives that impact the company as a whole.
  • Support commercial discussions including pricing and commercial terms, and coordinate contract negotiation and execution with Kpler’s authorized contracting entity and internal Legal team.
  • The role does not include authority to bind the company or sign customer agreements
  • This role has no authority to sign or conclude contracts on behalf of Kpler and does not act as a legal representative of the company in Switzerland.
