Small Business Lending, LLC. is looking to add a Commercial Credit Underwriter - Team Lead, to its team.

Requirements

• It is desirable that the candidate have CRE, C&I and SBA regulatory training & experience regarding 7A and 504 SBA loans
• Minimum of 7 years of underwriting experience
• Minimum of 2 years of management or team lead experience
• Formal Bank Credit training preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications

Responsibilities

• Assist Credit Managers in supervising Underwriting Team regarding credit memorandums, credit modifications, and SBA forms reviews
• Coach, train, mentor and evaluate underwriters regarding credit analysis, credit processes and policy, and product knowledge
• Assist Credit Managers to achieve performance metrics in relation to production and loan quality
• Review loan files and prepare detailed underwriting and risk analysis of loan requests for presentation to Credit Committee
• Conduct initial review of incoming loan packages by determining creditworthiness and compliance
• Submit and present findings to Credit Committee
• Participate in audits with respect to the company's credit and collections policies
