About The Position

Position Summary: The Commercial Credit Intern will support the Commercial Credit department by performing relationship reviews of existing borrower relationships, researching and analyzing lending partner and broker relationships, updating workout loan memos, and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of lending data across multiple systems. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented student interested in banking, financial operations, data quality, or risk management and will gain hands-on experience with real-world business financial analysis, lending data, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Accountable for timely completion of assigned projects.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements including balance sheet and income statement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Maintain clear, accessible, and properly documented files
  • Effectively manages tasks and priorities independently
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Currently attending a college or university and have taken intermediate level courses typically in the third year of study.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis of small- to middle-market businesses
  • Research lending partners and brokers and create a file analysis of each
  • Review loan files and system records to verify data accuracy and completeness
  • Work with Systems Administrator to identify discrepancies across multiple reporting systems
  • Maintain organized documentation of findings and steps taken to normalize data
  • Support and complete additional projects as needed
