Requirements
- 3+ years' experience as a construction superintendent or similar role in commercial construction
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles specifically for ground-up new commercial construction projects
- Proficient in construction management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and blueprint reading
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- OSHA 30-hour certification, First Aid/CPR, and other relevant certifications are highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring all tasks are executed safely and following the project plan and quality standards
- Coordinate construction schedules, ensuring the timely completion of projects.
- Lead and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors, tradespeople, and construction teams
- Regularly inspecting ongoing work, ensuring adherence to architectural and engineering specifications
- Implement and monitor safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all on-site personnel
- Act as the main point of contact on-site for clients, updating them on project progress and addressing any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of construction progress, including daily reports, equipment logs, and personnel records
- Quickly address and resolve on-site issues such as delays, supply shortages, or design changes, minimizing disruption to the project timeline
